World Toilet Day is a United Nations Observance that celebrates toilets and raises awareness of the 4.2 billion people living without access to safely managed sanitation. It is about taking action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.

According to Aljazirahnews – Nigeria joined the rest of the world to mark the annual World Toilet Day, the recently release from the report, ‘state of the world toilet’ has rated Nigeria as the worst in Sub-Saharan Africa and third in the world for having the most urban-dwellers living without a safe, private toilet….

This year’s global theme for World Toilet Day highlights the fact that improved sanitation impacts not only health but livelihoods too, and has the potential to transform societies and economies by amongst other things, creating new green jobs and a healthier, more sustainable future.
